CVG, which originally broke the story suggesting DJ Tiesto had signed with Activision for DJ Hero, is confirming that it is not true.
“There has been a lot of talk concerning an alleged quote from Tiesto about being involved in Activision’s possible DJ Hero video game,” reads a recent Tiesto newsletter. “This information was based on a fictitious news items, posted on a third party online forum.
“After the blogger posted the news item, falsely claiming that it was taken from a Tiesto newsletter, the quote was picked up on numerous websites and appeared in various articles, creating the impressions that it had come from an official source.
“Tiesto has never given a quote regarding DJ Hero,” the statement concludes.
Granted, not only did Tiesto not deny he is involved in the game (he just said that he never said in his newsletter that he is), but even if he’s not involved in the game yet, he would make a logical choice as one of the world’s most known DJ’s. I don’t think we’ve heard the last of this, but take from it what you will.
